Archipel CDCU organises a debating afternoon involving stakeholders from social housing in France and in Europe. Housing associations, architects, inhabitants are invited to share their views and their actual experience on four themes aiming to elucidate innovative projects and the supposed social dimension of this type of habitat.

Act II : social housing and associated services
Nowadays, social housing production goes far beyond the simple shelter and deal with others life dimension: food, mobility, health… cooperative housing offers examples of new services shared by inhabitants, proactive and producers of their own environment.

Act III : How to produce a different social housing?
If social housing is by nature a possibility to access housing, don’t we see a growing prerogative phenomenon? Cooperative housing, urban vacant spaces, migrant camps, transitory housing are as many new forms that are challenging the classical model of social housing.

Beyond the simple issue of ecobuildings, we will explore social dimension of sustainable development. How environmental transition is ringing a bell with social dimension of housing?
