Happy vacancy : fill in the gaps! Social housing organizations managing projects in transition

Housing vacancy and abandoned land: is it possible to turn these liabilities into real assets for the city ? To make the best use of the project downtime ? To experience new ways of carrying out projects with the population ? 

 That’s a challenge for all… So welcome to this workshop on temporary and transitional projects.  

On the agenda :  

• Presentation of ten various 2018 projects which aim to bring life back into empty areas or unoccupied building : nature in city, new uses and new services for the inhabitants, participation of the local residents, culture for social link, temporary shopping facilities… 
• Shared issues on the best ways to implement the projects and make the best out of partnership.  
• Meetings and informal exchange of ideas 

The workshop will take place in Les Halles du Faubourg, a temporary settlement for artist residency, entrepreneurs, community organizations and students. Engineers of an open city promoting looping actions, let’s take a dive !
